Departments & Heads

Works, Housing & Transport:

This department coordinates and advises the Local Government on matters relating to Works, Housing, Transport, Land and Survey.

One common thing in each of the department is that adequate records of all the physical assets are kept and suitable measures are in force to safeguard the asset. Also all counting book/records and vouchers are properly kept and procured for inspection on request by authorized person(s).

This dept. coordinates all the Health Care activities. It ensures that Primary Health Care activities as laid down in the plan are complied with, publishes monthly and annual Health statements of the L.G. It also liaises with other Agencies, and Non-Governmental Organization on issues relating to health in Isu L.G.A.

Education, Youth & Sport

This department is saddled with other functions of social developmental information, youth, sports and culture. It advises the Local Government on Social Welfare of Community Development Policies and Programmes.

Agricultural & Natural Resources

This department is in charge of monitoring the implementation of all Agricultural Development Programmes in the Local Government. It also play advisory role on matters relating to Agricultural Policies and Programme.

Finance & Supply

Finance department is responsible for the administration control of the Finance in the Local Government. Also has the responsibility of budgetary control and supervision of the accounting records of the various departments’ major duty. It is generally responsible for the maintenance of sound accounting and internal control system through keeping accurate account of all monies received and disbursed.

Administration Department is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Local Government. It is charged with policy initiation and execution. It also play advisory role on policy matters.

Budget, Planning, Research & Statistics

This department is responsible for budgetary control. It advises the Local Government on matters relating to Budget National (rolling) Plans and Data Collection and any other duty as may be assigned by the Local Government.
